Food Safety Standards

Our facility is FSSC 22000 certified which is a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) recognized scheme, demonstrating our commitment to food safety. We are also FDA & USDA inspected and registered.


The seafood we use is MSC and ASC certified. Our facility is listed in the Directory of Sanitarily Approved Food Establishments for Armed Forces Procurement and in compliance with Military Standard 3006C. This allows us to supply sushi to the US military.

Social Responsibility

Northwest Frozen is SMETA-certified. SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) is the most widely used format for social audits worldwide. It assesses companies based on their compliance with labor, health and safety, environment, and business ethics criteria.

SMETA follows the Ethical Trading Initiative Base Code, an internationally recognized code of good labor practice.
